This is a fast and easy recipe you can make up in less than a half-hour.
Added value: Tank’s Bloody Mary Pasta is a vegetarian pasta dish that fills the tummy with enough carbs to keep you working on that idea about maybe mowing the lawn, so long as it stays an idea. Or, filling the kids so they can work on your idea of mowing the lawn. Nice.
All you’ll need is this list below:
1-32-ounce bottle of Tank's Premium Bloody Mary Mix
1 package (16 oz) penne pasta
4 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 can (14.5 oz) petite diced tomatoes, drained
Shredded Parmesan cheese
Minced parsley
Take a moment before we begin the recipe by gathering the kids and letting them know lunch will be ready in a half-hour. This will give them time to wash their hands at the very least.
While you’re gathering your cooking ingredients, try singing or humming your favorite songs. Singing and being lighthearted is a must as you prepare lunch. This will help to make the time go faster. It will also make the kids think their surprise is big! Like the horsepower output of your lawnmower for example!
Start by cooking the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Now check on the kids who were supposed to be washing their hands and instead have likely found themselves locked in a ridiculous location you’ve never even seen before. Usher them back to the washroom to wash hands and return to the kitchen.
In a large saucepan, whisk Tank's Premium Bloody Mary Mix and flour. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5-7 minutes or until thickened.
Bonus points if you can get them to set it.
Double bonus points if they can do it without breaking anything.
Triple bonus points if they actually washed their hands.
Stir in cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Return to a low boil, stirring frequently until sauce is smooth, about 3 minutes. Stir in tomatoes and pasta; heat through. Sprinkle with shredded Parmesan cheese and parsley.
Now once the kids have eaten, take them outside and introduce them to Mr. Lawnmower.
